From brick, block, and stone work to tuckpointing, chimney repair, foundation repair, and masonry material matching and installation, we handle every aspect of the project with precision and expertise. Our services also include add-ons, as well as damaged or old material removal and replacement, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish.

Award-Winning Workmanship

Lencyk Masonry proudly boasts accolades from the International Masonry Institute (IMI), including 3 prestigious Golden Trowel awards for our exemplary work at the D. D. & Velma Davis Education and Visitor Center, Youngstown Community School, and the Newton Falls K-6 Elementary School. The D. D. & Velma Davis Project also received the Best Region 5 Stone Project Award.

Our "whatever it takes" attitude has been instrumental in securing numerous Golden Trowel awards, as our dedicated crews prioritize productivity and quality on every project.

STAFF

Lawrence J. Lencyk, Sr., Founder & President, established the company in 1984.  Prior to establishing Lencyk Masonry, Larry started working in the construction field in 1969 as a laborer with Albee Homes in Niles, Ohio, while attending Youngstown State University.  Larry served in the United States Army from 1971-1973.   The bricklayer apprentice training program is what started Larry’s passion for Masonry.   In 1977 he completed his apprenticeship training and advanced to Journeyman Bricklayer.  Larry worked for a number of local masonry contractors until 1984 when he decided to start his own company with one employee.  He has been past president of the Builders Association and continues to serve as a Trustee on the Bricklayers Local #8 Pension Fund and Apprenticeship Committee.

Angeline M. Lavorini, Chief Financial Officer, joined Lencyk Masonry Co, in 2005, after beginning her accounting career in 1990 at The Bishara Co. Angie started at Lencyk Masonry with duties which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and job cost data reporting & recording. In 2018 Angeline was named CFO of Lencyk Masonry.

As a graduate of Poland Seminary High School, Angeline went on to earn a B.S. in B.A in accounting from Youngstown State University in 1989 and earned her MBA with a finance concentration from YSU in 1997. An entry level accounting position in the construction field is where she began her career and while she had the opportunity to sample other areas of the accounting profession, construction continues to be her area of preference.

Eli Shreeve began his career in 1994 as an Improver Bricklayer with Lencyk Masonry. He received his Journeyman status in 1995 and started serving as a Job Foreman shortly after. In 1998, he applied his knowledge and skills of the trade into estimating and quickly became a full-time Estimator. In 2003, he stepped into the role of Project Manager. In 2018, he was promoted to Senior Vice President here at Lencyk Masonry where he manages the scheduling of all projects and our bricklayer work force. He also still performs some estimating and manages various projects.

Todd Yallech began his career with Lencyk Masonry in 1991 as a Bricklayer Apprentice. He then became a Journeyman Bricklayer then a Foreman and began running small projects for the company.  Todd then took on larger projects, mostly big-box stores for Target, Giant Eagle, Best Buy and many other retailers.  Todd then stepped up to the task of managing large-scale school projects.  Todd also assists in the office with estimating new projects. Todd has successfully managed 19 schools.

Nathan Byler began his career as an Apprentice Bricklayer in 1993 with Lencyk Masonry. Received his Journeyman status in 1996. Nathan served the company as an on-site foreman until 2007 when he began serving as an Estimator / Project Manager. In 2018 Nathan received the title of Vice President.  He currently manages all estimates and manages projects.

Dave Detwiler started his career with Lencyk Masonry in May 1995 as an apprentice bricklayer. After completing his apprenticeship, he received his journeyman bricklayer certification in June of 1998. Dave then started as a field foreman in 2003, overseeing a number of projects. He started as an estimator in 2011 and then as a project manager shortly thereafter. Dave started serving as Safety Director in 2015 and continues in this role.

Brandi Smith began her career with Lencyk Masonry in 2018 as the Accounting and Payroll Assistant bringing to the company her experience in Accounting and Human Resources.  Brandi then became Payroll Manager in 2022.  Her duties in this role include Weekly Payroll Processing, Human Resources, Union Due Submissions, Payroll Taxes, Certified Payroll Reports and back up for Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable.
